After the country went on complete lockdown due to Coronavirus Covid-19, the situation for common people mainly for those people like daily bread earners was like hell fallen on them. Their income stopped, their savings started to exhaust and the situations became so acute that for these people it was a decision to choose either to live or to die due to severe financial problems.
NorthPointe Community India being a social organization with a great vision took the steps forward amid complete lockdown and promised to stand by the side of these people who needs the help to stand up in life so that they can see one more day in their life, because they have almost lost all hope of survival.
Northpointe Community India, in short NPCI, started in the year 2012 in the month of February. It was a much awaited answer to my prayer, as my main vision Was to reach out to the unreached with the Good News and to bring smiles to the faces of the underprivileged students in the society in which I live and work. My vision included providing better support for their education and basic rights which Could help create change in their daily life. I hoped to empower women by providing some basic training programs through which they could be self Supportive and also support their family members. Moreover, I also envisioned helping the poor and needy with free regular health check-ups and by providing basic medication. Now within the span of three very productive years, I can see that my main AIM VISION under the banner of NPCI is reaching its utmost goals. From day one of the inception of NPCI, three Women Empowering Centers, three tuition centers for children, and three Adult Literacy Centers have moved forward one step at a time day by day and the results are amazing. Now more than 500 children
are enrolled for their regular coaching classes. Three groups of women in each of the centers have been empowered with 6 months of basic training in tailoring and handicrafts. In each of the groups, approximately 45 to 50 women
are trained. Over 175 adults have participated in classes for basic coaching in Adult Literacy. In our Medical Clinic a regular in-flow of patients continues to arrive for free health check ups and medication. To date over 22,960 patients have been treated. For emergencies our ambulance is available to serve the poor at a minimal rate. Besides the regular programs of NPCI, every year blankets and warm clothes are given away to the poor and destitute and wheel chairs to the
handicapped. Periodically, dental work, heart evaluations, and diabetic check up camps are organized.
